Last Minute Drinks

Met up with SJ last night at Melbourne Central to do some last minute shopping for the bride to be in KL. She'll be surprised alright. After our mad dash into Melbourne Central before the shops shut at 6 (this part of Melbourne sucks! Unlike KL, where everything's open till like midnight. I love it!), we met up with Azamat and Boyscout at Cookie Bar. Azamat got a new job and is now working out in Braeside. Errr.....where? Do we need a passport to get there? Kam couldnt make it cos he was too busy earning extra cash at Watermark, doing a corporate event. Thanks best friend. Hah!

We were helping SJ work on her speech for the upcoming wedding reception. The poor thing is frozen by the thought of getting on stage to do a speech infront of 300 people. She'd rather go on stage and strip then speak. TOT came to join us as well. Cutey and her are having dilemmas over how they're gonna meet up with us this Sunday when they arrive. Geez.....I feel like the mother chook here, having to organise everyone from Melbourne on this trip. Half of them didnt even know the new hand carry policy in regards to carrying liquid on flights!

Ball Breaker was supposed to join us for drinks to share her two cents worth on the speech but decided to ditch us for something far more interesting. Hmmm.....ok, I'll forgive her for now. It was all too funny when Boyscout was fiddling with my phone and Ball Breaker sent through some rather inappropriate sms-es. Boyscout was dumbfounded and told me he cant look at Ball Breaker the same way now. But this is nothing! Wait till you see Ball Breaker "really" inappropriate. The four of us left Cookie and had dinner at Hawker's Cafe. Thinking back now, I dont even know why I wanted to eat chicken rice when I'm going back to KL tonight. Should've had Italian food or a souvlaki for dinner instead. The chicken rice was mediocre, the company was better. Have I mentioned before that Hawker's Cafe serves their chicken rice in a bowl?? How strange.

This will be my last entry into my precious blog for a couple of weeks atleast, unless I can be bothered going into an Internet cafe. I doubt it. I'd rather be spending my time getting a massage or a tan in Phuket then huddled infront of a computer. So, to my avid readers, the journey and updates will continue when I get back. Have fun everyone and dont miss me too much ok?

SJ's Birthday

Last Saturday was a day to truly remember. Reflecting on it now, brings a smile to my face. It all started with rushing back to the office in the morning, well, not really morning, early afternoon. Had to pick up SJ's gift and dinner attendance list. F*ckin'....

Went to meet Kam, Azamat, Boyscout, November Cleo and Siew Yum at Nasi Lemak House. Wasnt really in the mood to eat. Strange, I never refuse nasi lemak. But it must've been all the alcohol from the night before. Looking at the nasi lemak made me sick. I settled for a warm teh tarik instead. This place serves so far the best nasi lemak in Melbourne. Nothing compared to KL but still the best you can find here. And you know, I havent really tried anything else on the menu. I did have the hokkien mee once, and it wasnt the best. I must endeavour to try something different next time I go there.

After my teh tarik, Kam was kind enough to go along with me to Chanel to get SJ's present. Got to ride in his brand new Ford Fuckers, sorry I meant Focus. Azamat started this, not me! It was a costly start to the day! $600 for the voucher, SJ will be lucky to even get a coin purse with that amount. Everything went smoothly, well not really. I was refused entry the first time I tried to walk into Chanel. Apparently the shop was full and their policy is not to let too many people in at the one time. Oh, whatever. Why do all designer shops do this? They should hire more people to work and hire more security to watch the doors. Anyway, I was successful the second time round and walking out of the store after having spent $600, I was confronted with Kam being pulled over by the cops. Shit! @@$$%&&%*(%@ Felt so bad. He was told that he wasnt allowed to stop his car (mind you his brand new car) in front of Chanel. Yes, we already knew this and my fault really. I was too lazy to look for a parking spot, that's why Kam came to drop me off and waited in the car. The cop's last words were ".....you may get a parking infringement notice in the mail...". He said "may". So, I'm thinking, he may not after all. I've already promised to pay the fine for him anyway, all $107 of it. I think it's $107. So, so, sorry.....

We all met up for dinner at Via Veneto albeit a huge number of cancellations at the last minute. The dinner itself was rather pleasant. And I dont mean that in a good way. It was decent, quiet and conservative. Wow. The absence of Princess Model and Ball Breaker sure makes a difference. Normally when I go there, I'm always with Ball Breaker, and it's always such a good laugh and we are no doubt always the loudest table in the restaurant! That night, everybody had very decent conversations and not much alcohol consumed at all. There were about 15 of us and only 3 bottles of wine (in total) on the table. What???? When Ball Breaker, Princess Model and I go there, we have atleast 5 bottles between the three of us and as a result earned ourselves to be the loudest table in the restaurant! I ended up spending $160 for dinner. Sorry, but some people just have no idea about the etiquette for dining out in large groups. Yes, from a financial perspective, we should really pay for what we consumed according to the price list on the menu. But when I agree to go out with my friends for dinner, it's not about the money. It's about the company, the good food and the good laughs. At the end of it all, I'm happy to split the bill and pay an equal share to everyone else, regardless of whether I ordered lobster or caeser salad. That's just me I guess. Cant really assume everyone else is like me.

I did have a good time at dinner though. Managed to catch up with a really old friend whom I havent seen for like 7 or 8 years. Chinta Boy has been away from Melbourne for that long and we did have alot of catching up to do. We talked about his life in New York and London. He's now thinking of taking up yoga and becoming a teacher. What a change from the corporate industry. He also wants to take up massage therapy. I told him he could practice on me first! The surprise is, I still cant believe he's 007's brother. They are so different to one another. And it's funny how I met both of them under different circumstances and never knew they were brothers until quite recently.

After dinner, we stopped by Baraki for a couple of drinks. Turns out SJ's friends are all party poopers. It was a Saturday night and nobody was up for drinks after dinner. Baraki was rocking when we got there. The waiter was kind enough to make us his Baraki special shot for the birthday girl. After resisting and whining about not doing shots at all, she ended up having about 4 Baraki specials! She was thoroughly wasted. This was when Ball Breaker and I took the opportunity to kidnap her and take her to Blvd. November Cleo was waiting for us there. I even saw Ah Sook there. Ball Breaker was busy chatting up Big Brother M and also a white boy named F, who turned out to be Little Lesbo's friend. They even organised a date for this week. Unfortunately, it's yet to happen.

It was a good night until I got to my car outside Blvd and discovered a parking fine! F*ckin'....$107. SJ's birthday hasnt brought me any good luck at all throughout the day. But you know what? It's only money. Nothing I cant make back I guess. But it was rather painful on the day. SJ better appreciate this, thank God she only celebrates her birthday once a year!

Greetings From Hawaii

Hawaii, the great land of sun, sea and surf, not to forget the vision of beautifully tanned Hawaiian surfer boys. Heard from Princess Model and she's having the time of her life there. Bitch! So, she hasnt told me there's too many tanned hot men to perve at but she did mention there are heaps of black men. Oh, why didnt you take Ball Breaker with you??

The one thing Princess Model cant live without is shopping. Her shopping in Hawaii has been hugely out of control and she's asked me to find her a rich husband. Her criteria includes:

1. Must be rich
2. Must have a platinum credit card
3. Must pay for her holidays 4 times a year
4. There will be no sex
5. Kissing will be permitted

Babes, if only you could find happiness this way. I'd be advertising for all my girlfriends.

Just got news that she hurt herself while diving. She cut her foot on a coral and now she's big foot! Atleast Beng is there to take care of her. Hope you are all having a smashing good time. I'll be getting a tan myself real soon, if only it were in Hawaii.

Our Farewell

It was our farewell party last Friday. Well, that's what I was told anyway. But when I got to Lavish, it turned out to be someone else's farewell. Little Lesbo and Shoe Lover were having their farewell. They're going back to KL for good. Cant help but wonder if I played a part in their sudden eagerness to leave the country. Yes, I've been known to do that lately, drive people out of the country. So much power and I never even realised it.

Met up with Ball Breaker and Swing Sister at 3 Degrees before heading off to boogie. Ball Breaker rang WMDM and he decided to join us as well with his posse. The Fegg was there but hardly sat with us the whole night. We tried to convince them to come along to Lavish but the oldies knew what was best for them and decided to go to Jankara instead. Well, I think that's where they went anyway. I heard it's a Japanese karaoke bar where you can get hostesses to sit at your table and drink with you. So Hong Kong movie nightclub scene. I have to go check it out for myself. I just dont want any dirty old men thinking I'm a Jap hostess.

Had a fantastic time as usual at Lavish although we were missing Princess Model. BBs was there too and she had an early morning flight to catch the next day. She's the first of our group to leave the country on our big trip. She's headed to Singapore first. So, I wont get to see her for a good month until we meet in Barcelona. November Cleo was busy chatting up BBoy. Flavour of the month perhaps? Even Siew Yum made an appearance at Lavish. Was so happy to see her there! Kam played a good mix of tunes which even included New Kids On The Block! What a laugh. To think that this was one of my favourite groups when I was a kid.

After Lavish, Ball Breaker and I went down to Platform One with Kam. My first time there and the club itself wasnt too bad. I didnt mind the music either, R & B with a dash of retro. But by the time we got there, the place was empty. I was so looking forward to catching a glimpse of some fine looking Malay boys. I was told this is where the Malays and the Indonesians hang out. The only person we saw when we got there was 007! Mr S and Scarface came to join us for a bit after taking Swing Sister home (the poor thing had to work in the morning). But the place was pretty dead and there was really no crowd to look at. Ball Breaker and I headed home not long after. Mr S and Scarface went to Supper Club. They tried to convince us to go, but I think they were really trying to get November Cleo to go. The bitch was probably still partying hard at Lavish.

It was a good farewell, even though it wasnt mine or Ball Breaker's! Cutey lied to us and then told us her farewell is next Friday at Lavish. Why would she need a farewell party??? She's only going away for 2 weeks. Any ol' excuse for a piss up. Ball Breaker told me Cutey was wasted on Wednesday night last week. Looks like she really doesnt need any excuse for a piss up!

Another Big Night

After Plastic's party, we headed into the city to meet up with Princess Model for a coffee. Ball Breaker, Swing Sister and myself were exhausted from being out all day and all night the night before. But we had to meet Princess Model as she was leaving for Hawaii and we wouldnt see her for a good 4 weeks. We met up at Baraki on the corner of Lonsdale and Russel St. Interesting little bar with a wall strangely decorated with hundreds of iconic pictures of the Virgin Mary. Hmm..... so, if I step foot into this bar, to sin or not to sin? I think this was why Ball Breaker, Swing Sister and I decided to order tea when we got there, holding off on the alcohol. By the time Princes Model got there, she was confused as to why the three of us were at a bar drinking tea. I was so close to not even meeting up with her and going straight home from Plastic's. So Princess Model ordered a tea as well. The waiter left us with the wine list sheepishly knowing that we wouldnt be able to resist. And he was right. We ordered one bottle of wine, had a glass each and was going to call it a night. Then Princess Model suggested we order another bottle. Hell, it's only another glass each. Bad mistake! The music at Baraki was great. I really enjoyed the DJ's mix of trance, house, retro and R & B. It's was pretty cool. The place wasnt too packed and we had a cosy table in the corner right next to the bar, the only place to be.

After the second bottle, Ball Breaker received an sms from an anonymous person asking her to meet up with him (well, we were assuming at the time, it was a him). After serveral attempts at guessing who the mystery person was, Ball Breaker just replied his message and blatantly asked him who the hell he was. It turned out to be Starbucks. Hmmm..... this was interesting. Out of nowhere, Starbucks was in communication with Ball Breaker? So off we went to Blvd. And what a great night we all had. The drinks were free flowing. Princess Model picked up two Indian boys and a short baldy. Great combination. At one point in the night I tried to "rescue" Princess Model from the short baldy by asking her to come upstairs with me, in which she replied "nah, you girls go ahead, I'm gonna stay here and drink". WTF? Serves her right for running after us 10 minutes later and screaming "why did u girls leave me with that shorty??" November Cleo came to join us at Blvd on her own. She didnt get there till around 2.30am. Good effort. Princess Model was so wasted and she still drove home! After we left Blvd, I went straight home. The rest of them ended up at Supper Club till 6 in the morning. How do they do it?

Cant believe I was out both Friday and Saturday night. But it was a great weekend spending it with my closest girlfriends. It was great to see Swing Sister back in action with us and we all had such a great laugh (even though some of it was at Swing Sister's expense). But I love all of you nonetheless.

Waiting For The Announcement

Was up early on Saturday nursing a fairly mild hangover. Spent a good part of the morning planning with Ball Breaker on what we were gonna get Plastic and his girlfriend for their house warming. So many of us were going and nobody had gone to buy a present. Thankfully Cutey and I came to the rescue. We ended up giving Plastic and his girlfriend a beautiful shaker set with 6 martini glasses. I dont think it was a bad effort at all.

The house was gorgeous despite only having two bedrooms. Plastic had done a good job with the backyard decking. That's my favourite part of the house. November Cleo, Ball Breaker, Swing Sister and myself were so bad. We got there, ate and spent the rest of the day playing gin rummy out the back, not once entering the house to socialise with the rest of the party. How terribly rude of us. I cant even start on the curry chicken incident.

When we got to the house, Plastic told us there was curry chicken on the stove. Cutey, November Cleo and I ran to the kitchen to help ourselves. When we looked into the pot, there was only 2 pieces of chicken left, with hardly any sauce. November Cleo and I hovered around the pot like vultures for about 10 minutes waiting for the pot to heat up. I'm sure the other guests would've noticed us and must've been wondering who the hell invited us to the party.

We didnt stop eating or gambling the whole time we were there. It was nice of Shorty to cook for us the whole day. She slaved over the bbq, we slaved over the gin rummy cards. We were also waiting in anticipation for the new home owners to make their announcement. Sadly, it never came. After our over analysis of their invitation ".....help us celebrate this milestone....", we were hoping to hear news of their engagement. Guess we were all fooled.

November Cleo and Ball Breaker caused a bit of commotion with their red wine. JV had gone into the house to get a bottle of red for them. After filling their plastic cups, he took the bottle back into the kitchen. From where we were seated, we caught eye of Plastic's girlfriend telling JV off. It seemed rather obvious he had opened the wrong bottle of wine and served it to November Cleo and Ball Breaker. Wonder what vintage it was. Ball Breaker, never the intention to cause trouble but always ever the trouble maker.

Incase some of you are wondering, Princess Model was never invited to this party and we didnt feel it was polite to bring her along. Yet, we were so anti social the whole day, it is unforgiveable. We felt so bad afterwards. Will we ever be invited to another bbq?
