Me The Loser.....

Yes, I am a loser. Here I am up at 9am on a Saturday blogging. Fuck man!

Had a meeting in the city yesterday and being a Friday, the meeting ended early enough for me to have a few drinks before peak hour traffic. Met up with Princess Model and Sash at JWOW for a few drinks which turned into 2 bottles of Marlborough Sav Blanc. Another smashing time with the alcoholic. Our conversation centred around a friend's lesbian relationship. A relationship that's lasted nearly 7 years. It's more and more evident that alot of people remain in a relationship because of the comfort factor. And it is amazing how the most beautiful and intelligent women are usually the ones that lack self esteem preventing them from moving on from a dead relationship that's going nowhere. This friend is beautiful, highly intelligent and in no way lacks confidence in the corporate world, but when it comes to her relationship, knowing it isnt going anywhere, but yet dragging it on to eternity. Why? She dropped by to JWOW to join us for a good 10 minutes before heading off with Sash.

Princess Model and I hung around to finish up our wines before leaving. By then it was way past peak hour traffic. There was a three piece jazz band playing at JWOW. At the same time The Age newspaper was doing a review on the place and we were told that our photos would be featured in The Age some time next week. I hope our photos look good. The owner of JWOW came to inform us of our photos being in the papers and tried to get us to go back for drinks tonight. Princess Model kept trying to do her best Ball Breaker impersonation by demanding a discount for the drinks. She insisted that we were not informed of the reporters taking photos and without our permission, the photos shouldnt be published. Didnt quite work, but the owner insisted he would "look after" us if we went back there tonight. We'll see.

When I got home, semi-smashed, I Am Sam was on tv. I spent all night watching the movie and crying like a loser. It was such a sad movie and Sean Penn's performance was magnificent as a mentally disabled man with autism. The movie brought tears to my eyes. Princess Model was sms-ing me all night and I told her what a loser I was spending Friday night at home infront of the tv crying. Maybe Sash was at home doing the same thing... I'm paying for it now, my eyes are still swollen! I should've just gone out drinking. I later found out that maybe Princess Model is a bigger loser. She ended up going to Lavish, after insisting over the last couple of weeks that she wouldnt go. Now she cant deny the fact that she is a "regular" there. Apparently she met up with WMDM, Ah Sook and The Fegg at Lavish. It's unusual for this bunch of people to go to Lavish. They are definitely not regulars, unlike Princess Model ;-)

An Intoxicating Anzac Day

We started Anzac Day rather early with lunch at James Squire Brewhouse at the Docklands. It was a brilliant idea for Princess Model to throw a huge birthday celebration over lunch. Being a public holiday it was a bonus. It was an afternoon filled with food, alcohol, friends and plenty of laughter. What more could one ask for?

What a coincidence that Cute J and I turned up in the same colours! He's too cute. Ball Breaker, Princess Model and myself must've had atleast half a dozen bottles of wine that day. The three of us were blind when we left the pub. Swing Sister came for lunch too although she was on call at work. She was spewing she had to work that day but atleast she managed to sneak out for a couple of hours. She wasnt allowed to drink though and James Squire has a rule that if you're the designated driver, you can get a "designated driver" card from the bar and have soft drinks for free. We made Swing Sister go up to the bar to get the card and she did. Good work!

Princess Model's friend Mr I was there too. Swing Sister and Princess Model have been dying to set him up with Ball Breaker. But any which way I looked on the day, I couldnt figure out which part of him was good looking. He was so geeky looking, not at all Ball Breaker's type. Swing Sister believed he would make a good match with Ball Breaker because they're both from the same profession and he's a decent bloke. Well, like Ball Breaker says, he cant be that decent if he "wont miss Armin for the world". Someone who's so into raves really isnt the type she's looking for then.

The food at James Squire was not too bad. I thought it was better than The Elephant & Wheelbarrow. The tomato risotto I ordered was brilliant. Following in on Cutey's footsteps, I got the opportunity to pretty much sample everyone's food that day. And most were quite yummy!

VB turned up unexpectedly. For some reason, this guy never rsvps his invitations. He likes to just show up to parties unannounced. Not that this is a bad thing. But bear in mind some parties are dinner and lunch affairs where table and seats need to be booked. The reason people send out invitations requesting for an rsvp is so they can confirm numbers right?? Everyone was surprised to see him. He doesnt call to inform anyone, he just shows up. What the?

It was a good day, relaxing and intoxicating at the same time. The atmosphere at James Squire was beautiful by the water. A little chilly on the day but still bearable. Six of us stumbled across to a Chinese restaurant at Docklands after leaving the pub for some cheap Chinese food, not that I can remember much of the night. I do remember it was a good day though. Best wishes Princess Model. Hope you find your husband soon. And dont forget to spend the Louis Vuitton voucher wisely!

Princess Model's Birthday Dinner

Tuesday was a tragic day for me. I woke up in the morning to discover that my car had been broken into, in my driveway. Fuckin'. The passenger window was smashed and there was no way I could drive it without a window. Fuckin'. Thank God my local panel beater was kind enough to realise it was an emergency and was able to fix it in a day. Nothing was stolen from my car but I did lose $350 to the cost of the damn window. Bloody shit. Imagine how many bottles of wine I could have with $350??

Later on in the night I went over to Princess Model's to pick her up before heading to Crown for dinner. When I got to her apartment, it looked like it had been swept by a tornado. She had difficulty deciding what shoes to wear at 8 o'clock. Mind you we were supposed to meet everyone for pre-dinner drinks at 8 o'clock! She must have dug out at least 8 pairs of shoes and she still couldnt decide. I was ready to make her wear thongs with her sequinned dress.

Ball Breaker came by to Docklands as well and we picked her up in a cab where her car was parked. The funniest thing was she tried to hail down the cab infront of us thinking we were in it. She was doing her "dance" and nearly jumped in when she realised there was nobody in that cab. Princess Model and I were watching her from the cab behind and we couldnt stop laughing at the bitch.

We got to The Brasserie by Phillipe Mouchel (Ball Breaker was calling him Michael Buble all night), fashionably late. The dinner was ok, nothing spectacular. The food wasnt too bad. I shouldnt really complain cos the medium rare steak I ordered, actually did come out medium rare. It's unusual for a restaurant to cook steak to my liking. This was bordering on acceptable. The service however was a huge disappointment. The waitress with the bad French accent tried to kick us out as soon as dessert was served. Even though we were the last group of people in the entire restaurant, I still think we deserved the best service. The light came on brighter and brighter every 5 minutes hinting for us to leave. Definitely didnt deserve a tip.

After dinner, Princess Model went to try her luck on the roulette table. Err...no such luck even though it was her birthday. Mr S, Swing Sister, The Nurse and myself left Crown after two drinks. Princess Model, Ball Breaker and Cute J went on to Love Machine to support Cutey on her special Anzac Day Eve event. From the stories I've heard, Cutey was pimping Princess Model and Ball Breaker out to some rich old man. Cute J kept calling them hooker #1 and hooker #2...so who's the #1 hooker??

Peking Duck @ Old Kingdom

Spent the whole of Sunday recovering from the weekend. Partying two nights in a row has really taken its toll on this body. I probably had a total of 8 hours sleep both Friday and Saturday night. Sigh. Piggy spent the night at Cutey's on Saturday after Blvd. More action with the Wi and Buzz. I need to get myself over there to try this damn game out. I've heard so much about it and I havent had a chance to give it a go. Damn!

Met up with BKK at Notturno for a quick coffee before he flew out to Bangkok. It's been so good seeing him again. He's lost some weight and is looking good. Just found out that he's a friend of Miss B and also Dr A. Far out, what a small world. Miss B & BKK used to work at Burberry Melbourne together. Also, a big thank you to BKK for the "sexy" top from Zara. I love it! The Nike shorts are a good fit too. Hahaha.... :-) BKK has promised to join me in Phuket in June. I cant wait!!!

Kam and Azamat joined us for coffee and left in a hurry cos our friend Azamat wasnt feeling the best. The boys didnt join us for dinner. Princess Model and Swing Sister came to Lygon St as well and Swing Sister was not in the best of moods when I asked her where Mr S was. Hmmm.... Anyway, Cutey, TOT and Piggy came by too and we then moved on to Old Kingdom for dinner. Last time Piggy was in Melbourne, we had wanted to take her to Old Kingdom for the Peking Duck but it was closed for like 2 weeks. This time we were in luck. The Peking Duck was scrumptious as usual but we didnt get to be served by the ever entertaining owner. Some young punk with hair like Aaron Kwok served us and he tried very hard to be funny which was so not funny. Wonder if he's the owner's son? Some of you may actually think the owner is rude and obnoxious but that's all part of his entertainment. I think he's hilarious. He's the Peking Duck Nazi, making sure everyone only takes one piece of cucumber and one piece of spring onion when wrapping your own peking duck. Yes, I am scared of him cos he rarely smiles and his voice is thunderous but nevertheless that makes him a funny man.

Had a quick coffee at Kent St. next to the restaurant before everyone called it a night. Unfortunately most of us had to work the next day plus SJ brought her son, and it was a school night too. So sad to say good bye to Piggy. Well, atleast I'll see her again in about 6 weeks. Woohoo!!!

Quiet Dinner With Piggy

Took Piggy to Jackie's for yum cha on Saturday. Second time to this restaurant and just as impressive as the first. Food was exceptional and service was tops. After lunch I spent the whole afternoon shopping on Bridge Rd. with Piggy and SJ. Covered half of Bridge Rd and I didnt end up buying anything really. Well, it wasnt really my shopping trip, we were there for Piggy to do some shopping before leaving for KL again. Took a break at a cafe. I couldnt believe the coffees there were only $2.50 each. Wow. That's cheap right by Melbourne standards? Most places, you'd be paying atleast $3 for a coffee these days. And the coffee wasnt bad either. But for the life of me, I cant remember the name of the cafe. SJ and I will have to go back to Bridge Rd. to search for this cafe.

Came back out in the evening and had a quiet dinner with Piggy at EC Pot in QV. Claypot chicken rice...yummy. Thinking of it makes my mouth water. We had a good time bitching and gossiping about everything under the sun. We spent more time talking than actually eating. I last saw Piggy in January but 4 months is a long time and so many things have happened in the span of 4 months. I also kinda felt bad though that SJ couldnt be with us. She had babysitting duties and had to go home early. Piggy and I talked a bit about Bob & FF. Bob's been keeping in touch with her through emails and has been invited to Piggy's wedding too. Wonder if he'll show up with FF? This will be interesting.....

The Nurse was having her farewell party at Fix, but we were quite happy to chill after dinner and not have a big night. Piggy and I met up with Plastic and his girlfriend at 3 Degrees for a couple of drinks instead. Ball Breaker was stuck with a work colleague at Bridie O'Reily's listening to a live band. She tried to make us meet her in Chapel St. tempting us with free booze. We never made it there and had planned to finish up our drinks and head home when BBs, Groupie Lover and Buddha walked past 3 Degrees. They were keen to head down to Blvd and so was Plastic.

Cutey was once again elated to see us there. Two nights in a row for me is huge. And Cutey wasnt pleased that the rest had chosen to hang out at another club instead of hers. Oh well, people need a change of scene sometimes. MM was working the cash registers and she looked so cute. Such a fashionable little thing....

Piggy was on a mission to get smashed. Well, I dont know if that was her mission but she achieved the outcome though. Sticking to Quick Fucks (of the alcoholic kind) all night seemed to do the trick for Piggy. She was her "yum" self and gave us quite a performance when she was dancing with Cutey. In her intoxicated state, she even asked Kam to play at her wedding. What the? And she was infact quite serious about this when I asked her about it the next day. She said it would be cheaper to fly him into KL than to hire a local band in KL. Cutey wont be happy with this arrangement... ;-)

BBs brought a friend with her to Blvd, and Piggy thought she was cute. Piggy tried her bestest to make her drink but the poor girl doesnt drink. Piggy was definitely showing her lesbianism potential that night! Hah! It's a wonder if Piggy had never left Melbourne, would she be straight or would she be bent??

Acqua E Vino

Met up with some friends from work at Acqua E Vino last Friday night for dinner and drinks. A cosy little bar/ restaurant in Yarraville. Actually, I was amazed when I drove up Anderson St. in Yarraville to discover so many cafes, bars and restaurants. It was like Brunswick St. but in the West. So hidden from the main road that I never realised this place existed. Acqua E Vino is very much like Supper Club in the city. A cigar bar with an enormous drinks list. Just the martini list alone is like 4 pages. There's even a section called The Million Dollar Cocktail list. And here you will find cocktails that cost up to $260!!! The place is decked out with large leather sofas and has a very 1920s gothic feel to it. Old fashioned chandeliers light up the place and because it's a cigar bar, the smell of the place is quite over whelming. The food menu consisted mainly of snack size tapas. We ordered almost everything on the menu, from bite size calamari pieces to little lamb cutlets (which were scrumptious!). The best was the chicken and pesto pizza; highly recommended. I hope to bring the girls here for a night out in the West one weekend. It's a very cosy place and well hidden from the streets, being located in a side street and on the first floor.

Later on in the night, I went to Lavish. I had initially wanted to catch up with Plastic at JWOW but was reluctant to drive into the city and look for parking. Plus Lavish was closer to where I was anyway. Caught up with BBs who had just found out that she's passed her Chartered Accounting exam and is now fully qualified. Congratulations BBs! Well, done. But now that no more studying is required, will that mean more partying or will that mean more research into another course? BBs was truly thrashed that night and didnt have much recollection the next day. Atleast she still looked decent. No one would've suspected she was drunk at all.

Lavish had their House Edition night on and some guest DJ was playing in the main room. I actually quite enjoyed the music. He played alot of old school commercial house and not much electro stuff. BBs and I had a great time hanging in the main room with Cutey. Piggy didnt get off work till 1am in the morning and came to join us after checking into her hotel in the city. Ball Breaker also worked late that night and didnt finish up till 2am!! Poor bitch. Cutey was very happy to see me, Piggy and BBs there on Friday. The usual suspects were not with us. They had sacrificed Lavish for another club called Room instead. That's 2 nights in a row to Room for some of them crazy people.

A group of my old friends were there too. Friends who I had gathered whilst in a relationship once upon a time. The loser ex was there too and I made it known he was my loser ex. Thankfully, he's not the sensitive type and took no offence to me calling him a loser all night. Piggy was happy to see the boys as well and just as pleased were they to see her. It's been awhile and apart from the loser ex, his friends are pretty nice people. The Baker was so happy to see Piggy, he planted a kiss on her lips in front of everyone. BBs was a little taken back with this public display of affection. She was wondering the whole time if Piggy actually knew this baldy! It's all good.

The Piggy Is In Town

Piggy arrived on Thursday from KL and I had to play sick so I could spend the whole day shopping with her. Wanted to take her out to a nice cafe for coffee and brekky but being the Malaysian that she is, she wanted Asian food. Ok, so her fiance is English and she has bacon and eggs at home all the time, so she comes to Melbourne and wants to eat noodles for breakfast. Playing the good host, I took her to my favourite restaurant, Thanh Phong in Richmond for noodles. Had to avoid the city cos I was meant to be at a conference at Saville Hotel.

We did some shopping along Lygon St and Sydney Rd, then ventured out to Smith St in Collingwood. We were both buggered by the end of it. On Sydney Rd. we made a stop into Mariana Hardwick. The dresses were beautiful but can you believe people have to make appointments for a fitting? WTF? So if you see something you like there, you've got to tell the sales person you'd like to make an appointment to try on that particular dress. Strange. Their dresses are exclusive but come on, it's not Chanel or Dior couture for goodness sake.

Piggy is going for a non-conventional type wedding with a British India theme. Well, we've been told to imagine a beach wedding, but in a garden. What the? No suits or ties for the men, bridesmaids to be dressed in white and bride to be dressed in bright colours. Given that the bridal party's gotta wear all white with a splash of fuschia, the suitable thing for the bride to wear should be a fuschia dress. And a fuschia dress we did find at The Dressing Room on Sydney Rd. The shop was great with a huge variety of labels. I even saw November Cleo's label there. The dresses were all very pretty and affordable, unlike Green With Envy.

Via Veneto named their fish after Ball Breaker....

Later on in the night we met up with a whole bunch of people for dinner at Via Veneto on Lygon St. to celebrate Cutey's birthday as well as Piggy's arrival. Piggy and I got there early to start drinking and was soon joined by Kam, Princess Model, Plastic, Ball Breaker, SJ, HYC, Cutey, TOT, Mr S, Swing Sister, MM, Shorty, Siew Yum, BBs and a dear friend of mine BKK. BKK was in town from Thailand for the weekend, so I was glad he came to join us for dinner. He's still single at the moment and dating boys here and there but nobody special. Poor guy. He should come back to Melbourne, plenty of nice looking boys here! The booze was flowing as usual. We had 9 bottles of wine on the table and Siew Yum ordered a bottle of bubbly just for Piggy. Eeewww.....

Most of us were highly intoxicated, so much that Shorty was reciting lines from tv's The Family Guy to the people on the table next to us. She's such a laugh and I really enjoy hanging out with her. Actually the lesbians are all such a great bunch of people. Cant wait to do Spain with Siew Yum, BBs and November Cleo. We are gonna be tripping mad!

The Pier @ Port Melbourne

I got an unexpected call to go for a drink on Monday night at 9pm...aaargh...half way through Desperate Housewives! But, for a friend in need, I'd do anything I guess, even if that means drink :-) Anyhow, made my way to The Pier in Port Melbourne for a couple of drinks. When I got there, Ball Breaker was already smashed. This is becoming a regular activity for her. I really liked the bar. Very cosy place and the smoking area was decked out with nice sofas. B1 was there with her sister. It was good to see her, though she was equally as smashed as Ball Breaker when I got there.

Princess Model couldnt stop complaining about how hungry she was. Unfortunately the bar didnt serve food. Princess Model was ready to start eating herself. Ball Breaker was being her usual drunken aggressive self. Tried to talk over everybody. She didnt even give Swing Sister a chance to speak! Aaargh...frustrating!

Five eligible men walked in to the bar and Ball Breaker was going nuts. She kept trying to make all of us pick these men up. Eeewww.....Princess Model and I were eyeing them up and down and couldnt find a single part of them good looking. One was bald, one was old (even Princess Model didnt like him) and the rest were just wrong.

Like any typical Monday night, I was dying to go home to bed. I had stayed out way past my bedtime. But the bar was nice and I hope to go back there with the girls for drinks again, certainly not to pick up.

Asalkan U Bahagia

SJ and I picked Princess Model up and headed to 3 Degrees in QV for Mags birthday. Ball Breaker came along and so did Mr S and Swing Sister. Would you believe even VB showed up? He actually rang up to see what I was doing and I told him about the party. He turned around and said "why didnt anyone tell me about this?". I think VB is losing his mind. The night before I had reminded him about this party. This reminds me, I forgot to mention that VB showed up to Cutey's birthday on Friday night with two chicks in tow. Hah! And he didnt even mention to anyone that he was going to attend Cutey's birthday. Ever since all the squabbles he's had with our group, we havent really heard from him. I did say hello to him and he introduced the two birds to me. One of them was The Olympian. Something about her just rubs me the wrong way. I've been introduced to her atleast half a dozen times, but she never seems to remember me. Do all Asians look alike or what?

Anyway, drinks at 3 Degrees was as it always is. When we got there the place was packed with party tour bus groups. Some of the girls looked 14! Young and skanky. The place was like a meat market. I've never seen 3 Degrees packed with so many kids. Thank God the bus group only stayed for half an hour allowing us some room and space to breathe when they left.

Mags' party moved on to The Lounge Downstairs and the music was great! It was a mix of old school R & B, house and trance. Not a bad mix at all. And there was no queue to get in, no cover charge and the crowd wasnt too bad either. Princess Model and Swing Sister was taking it in turns to make the birthday boy and girl drink. Mags was completely wasted and got us all kicked out. Swing Sister tried to take the birthday boy down but instead she got herself smashed.

SJ decides to get picked up by some short arse fella who kept telling me he needed a ladder to have a conversation with SJ. Told him if he thinks he needs a ladder with SJ, then what is he gonna need with Princess Model??

The party moved on to Lexington at the GPO, not before a long walk to Long Room and getting rejected there. Damn! Cant believe the place closed so early. During our long walk around the city, Princess Model came up with "Asalkan u bahagia". Cant remember the context of the conversation but everytime someone wanted to do something, she would reply with "asalkan u bahagia". I like the sound of it and I'm gonna use it everytime I see Princess Model! The crazy bitch.

Saw DJ Mark Johns at Lexington. He had a bit of a conversation with Princess Model:

DJ: Hi, I'm Mark, I played here tonight

PM: Oh, good for you

DJ: You dont remember me do you? I recognise you. You're a regular at another club I play at.

PM: Oh really....

DJ: Yeah

I explained to Princess Model that he plays at Lavish and Blvd. Her reaction?

PM: What?? He thinks I'm a regular at Lavish and Blvd?

Me: Errr.....PM, you are a regular at Lavish and Blvd

PM: No!!! I cant believe someone thinks I'm a regular at Lavish and Blvd

Me: But you are!!!!

The night ended with Mags on the floor and Swing Sister totally wasted. It was a good night being able to party with both the birthday girl and birthday boy. It's only a once a year event with these two. Until next year..... asalkan u bahagia...

The White Dress

Was up early on Saturday morning for a shopping mission with SJ. We had a quick lunch at Richmond before heading to Green With Envy on Bridge Rd. This shop has the most beautiful collection of dresses from many major local designers. The mission was to find a white dress, well two white dresses, one for me and one for SJ. SJ and I have been so privilidged to be selected as Piggy's bridesmaids for her upcoming wedding. But can you believe the bride wants us to wear white! Why? We are all gonna look like the bride on the day. Anyway, SJ and I decided to get off our asses and go on this mission.

Firstly, it is terribly difficult to find a white dress, let alone two. Given that summer is over and winter is looming closer, most dresses available in the stores are black, grey or navy. I tried on a white dress at Green With Envy and it was $685! Even then it wasnt that crash hot. For that sort of money, I'd like to look like Jennifer Hawkins in the dress. So, SJ and I strolled down Bridge Rd in hope of finding another store which stocks white dresses. No luck, until we reached our favourite (not!) store, Gasp. Oh My God! Of all places and brands, we find two semi decent looking white dresses in this store. SJ and I had sworn to never set foot in this store. The clothes are foul and so wrong. But nevertheless, they had several white dresses on display. So we ventured in discreetly (incase Ball Breaker saw us walk in). We tried on the dresses. They were ok. Not bad, but $550 for a Gasp dress? No way. When we told Ball Breaker about this, she couldnt stop laughing! And no, SJ and I didnt end up buying the dresses. So now, the mission is still incomplete.

We went on to try our luck in the city. First stop was QV. Cactus Jam, Third Millenium and Christen Copenhagen all didnt have anything white. Why was is so difficult?? We then went to Australia on Collins and Sportsgirl Centre. Found an interesting local designer called Jason Grech. He had some nice stuff but SJ wasnt too keen. The price wasnt that desirable either. But atleast he made his own stuff and was willing to alter the design of any of his dresses to suit us. Guess we have to pay for the service.

In the end we walked away empty handed and just met up with Princess Model for a coffee instead. All the walking had drained SJ and myself and meeting up with Princess Model was a relief. Who'd ever think that I'd be complaining about shopping!

Had a coffee at
Box on Collins. Quaint little cafe located next to the Regent Theatre. This cafe makes the second best latte I've tried, next to The Pearl in Richmond. Sitting outside the cafe on Collins St., we saw atleast three bridal parties using this location as a backdrop for their wedding photos. Interesting. I never knew Collins St. was this attractive. SJ, Princess Model and myself had a good time commenting on the bridesmaid dresses.

Cutey's Birthday

Cutey celebrated her birthday at Lavish (where else) last Friday night. By the time I got there, Cutey was already super smashed. She was handing out lollies to anyone and everyone. When she came up to give me mine, I just threw it on the floor. She was so mad at me.

Cutey: Why'd you throw it on the floor??? It's not cheap!!

Me: Why'd you give it to me??? You know I dont eat lollies!!!

Cutey: But it's my birthday.....

Me: So???

Cutey bends down to pick up the packet. Later on when I told my friends about this, they couldnt stop yelling at me. Everyone said the same thing; "Why didnt you just take it and give it to me????" Oops...I'll remember for next time then.

The hash cake....

Cute J came to Lavish with some of his friends. He's such a fun guy to hang with, even though Princess Model was annoyed with him. Cute J was drinking and dancing with us all night. At one point he kept making me drink with him till he couldnt drink anymore. That's when I decided to call him a loser all night. Lucky he didnt take any offence. He's just so funny and a cutey too.

Some lesbian tried to pash me at the bar; some annoying lesbian that is. Who does she think she is? She's sleazier than any man I've met and worse! If she was semi-good looking, I could consider giving her a second look but WTF? She's lucky she's a friend of a friend because with her tiny frame, I could flatten her with my little pinky.... hmmmmph!

At one point through the night, Ball Breaker and I nearly started a fight in the toilets. Well, Ball Breaker nearly started a fight, to be specific. But I was there to protect her! Kekeke.... If we weren't at Lavish and we were at another club, I would have no hesitation at all. Just like the fight we had at Chaise Lounge about a year ago to this day! We are too old for this shit.

Cutey didnt really survive the night. She was out of it and spent over an hour lying down by the water outside Lavish. But then, she sprung up and went back inside on her own. I'm pretty sure she had recovered by then cos in the end she had to drive TOT home and not the other way around!

JWOW

Ended meeting up with the girls at JWOW on Wednesday night for drinks. Nice bar situated next to Strike Bowls in QV. I always thought the place was called J-Wow, but Princess Model told me it's actually Jwow (pronounced ciao - as in wine in Chinese). I learn something new everyday. Was still in hybernation mode and wasnt particularly keen to go for drinks until I met up with Princess Model at the car wash. I was planning to get my car washed all week and there was no better day than Wednesday. Told Princess Model I was heading to Watershed and she decided to join me there. Now I have a new car wash buddy! The boys at this car wash are very friendly, well it does help when two hot chicks drive in together to get their car washed. I never fail to break their balls trying to bargain for a deluxe wash and yet pay for a super wash. And it almost always works! This time around both Princess Model and myself only paid for a regular wash and yet got the boys to do a deluxe wash. On top of that, they gave us both free coffees. Nice.

Seeing that I was already in the city, I told Princess Model I would only stay for one or two drinks then go home. So we made our way to QV, initially planning on going to 3 Degrees. We drove past JWOW and decided to pop in. Princess Model ran in to ask if we could smoke in there and that helped us decide to stay. Swing Sister and Ball Breaker joined us not long after. WMDM and Fegg came to join us as well. So it wasnt a girls-only drinks then. Cutey and TOT came by too. Some of WMDM's cousins dropped by for a drink. One of which was very good looking. Why is it that all of WMDM's cousins (the ones I've met so far) are good looking (or semi decent looking) but he didnt inherit the beauty genes? Poor guy. Mr 23 (the cute cousin) was looking at Princess Model all night. Cute, but not her type unfortunately. Between Princess Model and Ball Breaker, one of you should go for him! Cutey and TOT were busy promoting Lavish to the cousins all night. Let's see if they show up tonight.

I wish I had've stayed on with the girls. But after 3 bottles of Sav Blanc, it was time for me to make my way home. They partied on all night and I was told Swing Sister was really, really drunk. As a matter of fact, I think all of them were really, really drunk! And before I forget, everytime we meet up with WMDM and Fegg, they never let us pay for anything. Our table had a total of 5 bottles of Sav Blanc at $40 per bottle and nobody paid a cent for it. I know Princess Model offered to pay but ofcourse WMDM wouldnt allow that. He's very much a chinaman like that. Well, good for us then ;-)

Easter Monday

Stayed home all day Easter Monday and caught up with all my vcds. I'm watching this series at the moment that I cant seem to put down. It's not that exciting really but after watching every episode, I feel like I need to find out what's gonna happen in the next episode....sigh....yes, I'm a loser who'd rather stay home to watch TVB series. But I love it! Swing Sister was sms-ing me all day to ask me out to lunch and coffee. I just couldnt be f**ked moving from the couch. I was back to hybernation mode. It was such a nice day too, to be out in the sun enjoying lunch in St. Kilda. Damn!

It's Friday already and it's been great to have a 4 day week this week. Will be out partying tonight for Cutey's birthday. Piggy was meant to arrive tomorrow but has had a change of plans and wont be gracing us with her presence until next Thursday. Well, atleast we'll have you for both Friday and Saturday night next week! Cant wait.

During the week, SJ told me she got a text message from LL Cool J in Paris. How sweet. And I cant believe he started the sms with "hey dude". Does SJ look like a dude? Funny. He's miles away and he still thinks about SJ. And all SJ can think about is the Ferrari. Hahaha....

Eve & Long Room

After staying home Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, I thought I'd make an effort to put on my party dress and go out on Sunday night. Cutey had an event at Eve and that was the destination for the night. Most of the gang were still recovering from Saturday night. They all had a big one and all ended up camping out at QV. Some continued to party, some just crashed out to recover. Ball Breaker and I had decided that if nobody was up for Eve, we'd go anyway. Plus I had already organised with BBs to go to Eve. Another NBF. Love ya babe :-)

I got to QV and everyone there looked kinda scary. The only one in a chirpy and cheery mood was Princess Model, with or without substances. JC was right when she said at Summadayze that everyone looked scary. Some looked ready to kill! Well, they did pose for the camera though.

Ball Breaker brought Easter eggs for everyone and she made us play some Easter game where each person gets a painted boiled egg and tries to crack the next person's egg. The one left with an uncracked egg is made the winner. I had the strongest boiled egg that night, it didnt crack under pressure! While waiting for everyone to get dressed, Ball Breaker and I almost finished a bottle of Sav Blanc. We all jumped into a maxi cab and headed to Eve. Bad mistake. I really should've driven there cos I had this feeling all of us would part separately, even though we all went there together.

Eve was packed to the max. A very trendy club, but just way too many people on the night. The R & B room sucked big time. The crowd was wrong, the dancefloor was wrong (who dances on carpet?) and no comment on the music. The best room in the place was our VIP area. Unfortunately, there's no smoking in the club. The tiny smoking area they call a courtyard was jam packed like a can of sardines. With the ban on smoking in clubs creeping up soon, will this affect the business of nightclubs and bars, or will it just make more people quit smoking? Well, the no smoking rule at Eve just made me light up illegally in the VIP area. What's the worse thing that could've happened? The bouncers would've just told me off and I would've then butted my cigarette out. No big deal. Except I didnt get told off at all, was smoking freely (and illegally). Ball Breaker did get told off for smoking in the disabled toilets though. To make matters worse, she wasnt even smoking in the toilets!

Kam and 007 were there. I was surprised to see 007 actually. He's not usually at these events. Swing Sister and SJ were not happy to be at Eve. Well SJ was forced into going in the first place. As for Swing Sister, the music wasnt right I guess. When they all decided to leave, I decided to stay on and party with BBs. I was a little disappointed all my friends left me there. However, I knew they werent gonna be much fun anyway cos we were all on different wavelengths that night. At the time they left, I had no idea where BBs was. So, I was practically left there on my own. Well, I'm a big girl and I can take care of myself......pfft pfft.....

When BBs emerged, we decided to lose the joint and head home, detouring pass Long Room first. Kam was playing there and we asked him to get us in but he couldnt, which meant we'd have to pay to get in. Lucky BBs is connected. She knew the organiser for the night and he let us both in for free. When we headed to the bar, turned out that BBs knew one of the bar tenders as well. So, we didnt pay for a round of drinks either. Towards the end of the night, BBs gets a call from Ball Breaker, who was in a foul mood, so we told her to join us at Long Room.

Ball Breaker rocked up within minutes and was blurting out her heated experience faster than the speed of light. Even Kam couldnt understand her. She apparently had a minor tiff with Swing Sister after they left Eve. Oh and I am apparently the cause of this. Ball Breaker was annoyed that everyone had left me at Eve to fend for myself (as though there were hundreds of hungry men at Eve waiting to devour me). I was very touched by Ball Breaker and I was a little annoyed on the night but it's over now. Who cares? I had a fabulous time with BBs and I knew I would anyway. She is lots of fun although she made me listen to her blabber earlier on in the night. I'm not complaining, funny that, cos I'm just wondering if it's because of the alcohol or because she's comfortable around me. Anyhow, the moral of the story is to stick to friends who will just drink the night away with me with no added substances. I've learned my lesson.....and I gather, so has Ball Breaker.

Hybernation Mode

Was invited to a party at The Kitten Club on Saturday but decided to stay home on the couch and veg out all night. BK rang and tried to convince me to meet her at Kitten Club, but I just couldnt be f**ked. It's one of those things I guess. I just felt like staying home, watching videos and stuffing my face before falling asleep. All this partying has left me feeling drained and tired. I need to hybernate for 12 months atleast to recuperate. But Piggy is coming to town this weekend and I cant possibly stay home can I? There's always someting happening in my life at any given time. March and April are popular for birthdays. Every other weekend it's somebody's birthday. As a matter of fact, it's Cutey's birthday this coming Friday at Lavish. Great! Cant really escape the place even if I wanted to. My hybernation mode will have to come to a rest for the weekend and turned back on the following week..... Damn!

Ball Breaker met up with Princess Model and the rest of the gang on Saturday night. They all had a jolly good time at QBH. Ball Breaker ended up being terrorised yet again. Good for her! I'm impressed they didnt drop by to Blvd even though it's right next door. Cutey and TOT joined them at QBH instead.

November Cleo was supposed to come home on Saturday but she didnt and nobody's heard from her. I sent her an sms on Sunday but got no reply. At this point, I think we should start to worry right? But then on Monday we receive an updated post on her blog. Bloody bitch! And I thought she would be back to party with me over Easter. She's still in Hong Kong having the time of her life. Some business trip huh? Atleast we know you're ok. When are you coming back??

Supposed to meet up with Ball Breaker, Swing Sister and Princess Model tonight for drinks. I cant even be f**ked doing that. I think I'll go back into hybernation mode. Sounds good, except maybe, just maybe I might like to have a glass of wine....

Yum Cha at Jackie's

Caught up with friends for yum cha on Saturday at the new Jackie's in the city. New to me cos I've never been there, but really, I dont know how long the place has been open. With a basement location on Queen St., the place is kind of out of the way. But there is one good thing about it, there's plenty of parking in that part of the city. The food was delectable. I thought it was much better than Jackie's Kitchen in Doncaster. Actually the dim sum was a lot better than many other Chinese restaurants in the city. There were wet wipe towel things on the table rolled up like little white spring rolls which Ball Breaker actually thought were spring rolls! Service there was fabulous too, unlike other Chinese restaurants in the city that serve yum cha. Given the fact that the restaurant wasnt packed, it made for an enjoyable meal. Any other Chinese restaurant in Chinatown would've been packed on the weekend and the food would've been very mass produced. And ofcourse there wouldnt be any service either.

For once we got to eat every dim sum dish we wanted. Usually, we have yum cha in Chinatown and we sit around waiting forever for the damn food trolley to come around. Half the time when the trolley emerges, it doesnt have the dim sum we are after. Either that or the trolley contains something we've already ordered, tasted and eaten. At Jackie's, even though we had to place our order for dim sum (it was too quiet for the trolley to be wheeled around), everything came out steaming hot. This is unusual in many yum cha restaurants. I absolutely hate my dim sum cold; nothing worse than a cold har gow. The waitress provided our table with every imaginable sauce to go with the dim sum; from chilli sauce, to chilli oil, to chilli paste. It was great!

If you're not afraid to venture out of Chinatown, check out Jackie's on Queen St. Apart from Dragon Boat on the Yarra, this has got to be one of the best yum cha restaurants in town.
