Relaxing Japanese Retreat

Ball Breaker, Swing Sister and myself stopped by Thanh Phong in Richmond for a quick bite on Saturday before heading off to Montrose. The wait for our luxurious Xmas present from Mr S was finally over. We were given a night away at The Japanese Retreat up in the Dandenongs. I wonder what he was up to that night? I later found out he partied all night with LLCoolJ, Starfish and HYC. They went to Goldfingers and then on to Revolver. Mr S didnt get home till 7am Sunday morning. As for Starfish, she didnt get home till 11am Sunday morning. Unbelieveable.

The retreat was amazing. The three of us shared a room. We had an afternoon of massages, facials and body wraps. We were in heaven. The people there thought we were lesbians cos we couldnt stop giggling amongst ourselves. The room was like a traditional Japanese ryoken, complete with tatami mats and futon beds. Dinner was a six course Japanese meal which was served at 6pm. Not surprisingly, we were starving by 10pm. We started our alcohol binge straight after our pampering. And yes, the girls will tell you that I was the alcoholic. Well, in defence, we really had nothing else to do apart from drink and talk shit. Ball Breaker had admitted to being smashed after the first bottle of white, but Swing Sister and I were still straight. So, the logical thing to do was to keep drinking. Swing Sister was adamant that we were at a retreat and that we should really be detoxing. However, all three of us agreed to take a drive down to the local bottle shop to get more booze. Now, it cant really all be my fault right? Anyway, we were such a hilarious sight. We rocked up to the bottle shop in our kimonos, with not much else on underneath. But for some reason, the people down at the pub were unphased by this funny sight. Maybe everyone rocks up for booze dressed like this at the Dandenongs? Believe me, we didnt want to drive down. We sms-ed everyone we knew and asked if they'd bring us more alcohol. Unfortunately, nobody saw the humour in this. As a matter of fact, this didnt even warrant an sms reply from some people. After some (well lots of) drinking, we attempted to take a walk around the compound. Visited the Balinese Retreat, which is $1000 per night. It was beautiful. The place is advertised as a non-smoking environment but the three of us hardly considered quitting for the weekend. Ofcourse we smuggled in our ciggies but we made sure to only smoke outside our room.

The three of us spent a couple of hours in the spa after our walk. It was so much fun. I havent had so much fun with just the girls since Sydney. We should really do this more often. Swing Sister tried her best to spy on the couple next door to us to see if they were infact having sex. Can you believe the rooms come with a full box of condoms and a tube of lubricant? You dont even get this at the Hilton!

At some point in the night, we even contemplated the idea of going to Blvd. Dont get me wrong, the Japanese Retreat was very romantic, very quiet, nice place to get away. I just think the three of us are city girls. We just cant stay away from the bright lights and loud music. The good thing out of this was we were wasted and in bed by midnight. See, it was an early night!

The next morning, we woke up early, made breakfast and decided to relax under the sun on our patio when the owner/ manager knocked on our door and ordered us out of the room because we were late for check out. We threw all our stuff in our bags, got dressed (no time to even shower) and was out the door in under 4 minutes! I dont think she was impressed with us from the beginning. We had music going on in our room, we were drinking and smoking. Not the typical patrons to this "retreat". Well, all in all, I had a fabulous time with my girlfriends.
