Last Minute Drinks

Met up with SJ last night at Melbourne Central to do some last minute shopping for the bride to be in KL. She'll be surprised alright. After our mad dash into Melbourne Central before the shops shut at 6 (this part of Melbourne sucks! Unlike KL, where everything's open till like midnight. I love it!), we met up with Azamat and Boyscout at Cookie Bar. Azamat got a new job and is now working out in Braeside. Errr.....where? Do we need a passport to get there? Kam couldnt make it cos he was too busy earning extra cash at Watermark, doing a corporate event. Thanks best friend. Hah!

We were helping SJ work on her speech for the upcoming wedding reception. The poor thing is frozen by the thought of getting on stage to do a speech infront of 300 people. She'd rather go on stage and strip then speak. TOT came to join us as well. Cutey and her are having dilemmas over how they're gonna meet up with us this Sunday when they arrive. Geez.....I feel like the mother chook here, having to organise everyone from Melbourne on this trip. Half of them didnt even know the new hand carry policy in regards to carrying liquid on flights!

Ball Breaker was supposed to join us for drinks to share her two cents worth on the speech but decided to ditch us for something far more interesting. Hmmm.....ok, I'll forgive her for now. It was all too funny when Boyscout was fiddling with my phone and Ball Breaker sent through some rather inappropriate sms-es. Boyscout was dumbfounded and told me he cant look at Ball Breaker the same way now. But this is nothing! Wait till you see Ball Breaker "really" inappropriate. The four of us left Cookie and had dinner at Hawker's Cafe. Thinking back now, I dont even know why I wanted to eat chicken rice when I'm going back to KL tonight. Should've had Italian food or a souvlaki for dinner instead. The chicken rice was mediocre, the company was better. Have I mentioned before that Hawker's Cafe serves their chicken rice in a bowl?? How strange.

This will be my last entry into my precious blog for a couple of weeks atleast, unless I can be bothered going into an Internet cafe. I doubt it. I'd rather be spending my time getting a massage or a tan in Phuket then huddled infront of a computer. So, to my avid readers, the journey and updates will continue when I get back. Have fun everyone and dont miss me too much ok?

SJ's Birthday

Last Saturday was a day to truly remember. Reflecting on it now, brings a smile to my face. It all started with rushing back to the office in the morning, well, not really morning, early afternoon. Had to pick up SJ's gift and dinner attendance list. F*ckin'....

Went to meet Kam, Azamat, Boyscout, November Cleo and Siew Yum at Nasi Lemak House. Wasnt really in the mood to eat. Strange, I never refuse nasi lemak. But it must've been all the alcohol from the night before. Looking at the nasi lemak made me sick. I settled for a warm teh tarik instead. This place serves so far the best nasi lemak in Melbourne. Nothing compared to KL but still the best you can find here. And you know, I havent really tried anything else on the menu. I did have the hokkien mee once, and it wasnt the best. I must endeavour to try something different next time I go there.

After my teh tarik, Kam was kind enough to go along with me to Chanel to get SJ's present. Got to ride in his brand new Ford Fuckers, sorry I meant Focus. Azamat started this, not me! It was a costly start to the day! $600 for the voucher, SJ will be lucky to even get a coin purse with that amount. Everything went smoothly, well not really. I was refused entry the first time I tried to walk into Chanel. Apparently the shop was full and their policy is not to let too many people in at the one time. Oh, whatever. Why do all designer shops do this? They should hire more people to work and hire more security to watch the doors. Anyway, I was successful the second time round and walking out of the store after having spent $600, I was confronted with Kam being pulled over by the cops. Shit! @@$$%&&%*(%@ Felt so bad. He was told that he wasnt allowed to stop his car (mind you his brand new car) in front of Chanel. Yes, we already knew this and my fault really. I was too lazy to look for a parking spot, that's why Kam came to drop me off and waited in the car. The cop's last words were ".....you may get a parking infringement notice in the mail...". He said "may". So, I'm thinking, he may not after all. I've already promised to pay the fine for him anyway, all $107 of it. I think it's $107. So, so, sorry.....

We all met up for dinner at Via Veneto albeit a huge number of cancellations at the last minute. The dinner itself was rather pleasant. And I dont mean that in a good way. It was decent, quiet and conservative. Wow. The absence of Princess Model and Ball Breaker sure makes a difference. Normally when I go there, I'm always with Ball Breaker, and it's always such a good laugh and we are no doubt always the loudest table in the restaurant! That night, everybody had very decent conversations and not much alcohol consumed at all. There were about 15 of us and only 3 bottles of wine (in total) on the table. What???? When Ball Breaker, Princess Model and I go there, we have atleast 5 bottles between the three of us and as a result earned ourselves to be the loudest table in the restaurant! I ended up spending $160 for dinner. Sorry, but some people just have no idea about the etiquette for dining out in large groups. Yes, from a financial perspective, we should really pay for what we consumed according to the price list on the menu. But when I agree to go out with my friends for dinner, it's not about the money. It's about the company, the good food and the good laughs. At the end of it all, I'm happy to split the bill and pay an equal share to everyone else, regardless of whether I ordered lobster or caeser salad. That's just me I guess. Cant really assume everyone else is like me.

I did have a good time at dinner though. Managed to catch up with a really old friend whom I havent seen for like 7 or 8 years. Chinta Boy has been away from Melbourne for that long and we did have alot of catching up to do. We talked about his life in New York and London. He's now thinking of taking up yoga and becoming a teacher. What a change from the corporate industry. He also wants to take up massage therapy. I told him he could practice on me first! The surprise is, I still cant believe he's 007's brother. They are so different to one another. And it's funny how I met both of them under different circumstances and never knew they were brothers until quite recently.

After dinner, we stopped by Baraki for a couple of drinks. Turns out SJ's friends are all party poopers. It was a Saturday night and nobody was up for drinks after dinner. Baraki was rocking when we got there. The waiter was kind enough to make us his Baraki special shot for the birthday girl. After resisting and whining about not doing shots at all, she ended up having about 4 Baraki specials! She was thoroughly wasted. This was when Ball Breaker and I took the opportunity to kidnap her and take her to Blvd. November Cleo was waiting for us there. I even saw Ah Sook there. Ball Breaker was busy chatting up Big Brother M and also a white boy named F, who turned out to be Little Lesbo's friend. They even organised a date for this week. Unfortunately, it's yet to happen.

It was a good night until I got to my car outside Blvd and discovered a parking fine! F*ckin'....$107. SJ's birthday hasnt brought me any good luck at all throughout the day. But you know what? It's only money. Nothing I cant make back I guess. But it was rather painful on the day. SJ better appreciate this, thank God she only celebrates her birthday once a year!

Greetings From Hawaii

Hawaii, the great land of sun, sea and surf, not to forget the vision of beautifully tanned Hawaiian surfer boys. Heard from Princess Model and she's having the time of her life there. Bitch! So, she hasnt told me there's too many tanned hot men to perve at but she did mention there are heaps of black men. Oh, why didnt you take Ball Breaker with you??

The one thing Princess Model cant live without is shopping. Her shopping in Hawaii has been hugely out of control and she's asked me to find her a rich husband. Her criteria includes:

1. Must be rich
2. Must have a platinum credit card
3. Must pay for her holidays 4 times a year
4. There will be no sex
5. Kissing will be permitted

Babes, if only you could find happiness this way. I'd be advertising for all my girlfriends.

Just got news that she hurt herself while diving. She cut her foot on a coral and now she's big foot! Atleast Beng is there to take care of her. Hope you are all having a smashing good time. I'll be getting a tan myself real soon, if only it were in Hawaii.

Our Farewell

It was our farewell party last Friday. Well, that's what I was told anyway. But when I got to Lavish, it turned out to be someone else's farewell. Little Lesbo and Shoe Lover were having their farewell. They're going back to KL for good. Cant help but wonder if I played a part in their sudden eagerness to leave the country. Yes, I've been known to do that lately, drive people out of the country. So much power and I never even realised it.

Met up with Ball Breaker and Swing Sister at 3 Degrees before heading off to boogie. Ball Breaker rang WMDM and he decided to join us as well with his posse. The Fegg was there but hardly sat with us the whole night. We tried to convince them to come along to Lavish but the oldies knew what was best for them and decided to go to Jankara instead. Well, I think that's where they went anyway. I heard it's a Japanese karaoke bar where you can get hostesses to sit at your table and drink with you. So Hong Kong movie nightclub scene. I have to go check it out for myself. I just dont want any dirty old men thinking I'm a Jap hostess.

Had a fantastic time as usual at Lavish although we were missing Princess Model. BBs was there too and she had an early morning flight to catch the next day. She's the first of our group to leave the country on our big trip. She's headed to Singapore first. So, I wont get to see her for a good month until we meet in Barcelona. November Cleo was busy chatting up BBoy. Flavour of the month perhaps? Even Siew Yum made an appearance at Lavish. Was so happy to see her there! Kam played a good mix of tunes which even included New Kids On The Block! What a laugh. To think that this was one of my favourite groups when I was a kid.

After Lavish, Ball Breaker and I went down to Platform One with Kam. My first time there and the club itself wasnt too bad. I didnt mind the music either, R & B with a dash of retro. But by the time we got there, the place was empty. I was so looking forward to catching a glimpse of some fine looking Malay boys. I was told this is where the Malays and the Indonesians hang out. The only person we saw when we got there was 007! Mr S and Scarface came to join us for a bit after taking Swing Sister home (the poor thing had to work in the morning). But the place was pretty dead and there was really no crowd to look at. Ball Breaker and I headed home not long after. Mr S and Scarface went to Supper Club. They tried to convince us to go, but I think they were really trying to get November Cleo to go. The bitch was probably still partying hard at Lavish.

It was a good farewell, even though it wasnt mine or Ball Breaker's! Cutey lied to us and then told us her farewell is next Friday at Lavish. Why would she need a farewell party??? She's only going away for 2 weeks. Any ol' excuse for a piss up. Ball Breaker told me Cutey was wasted on Wednesday night last week. Looks like she really doesnt need any excuse for a piss up!

Another Big Night

After Plastic's party, we headed into the city to meet up with Princess Model for a coffee. Ball Breaker, Swing Sister and myself were exhausted from being out all day and all night the night before. But we had to meet Princess Model as she was leaving for Hawaii and we wouldnt see her for a good 4 weeks. We met up at Baraki on the corner of Lonsdale and Russel St. Interesting little bar with a wall strangely decorated with hundreds of iconic pictures of the Virgin Mary. Hmm..... so, if I step foot into this bar, to sin or not to sin? I think this was why Ball Breaker, Swing Sister and I decided to order tea when we got there, holding off on the alcohol. By the time Princes Model got there, she was confused as to why the three of us were at a bar drinking tea. I was so close to not even meeting up with her and going straight home from Plastic's. So Princess Model ordered a tea as well. The waiter left us with the wine list sheepishly knowing that we wouldnt be able to resist. And he was right. We ordered one bottle of wine, had a glass each and was going to call it a night. Then Princess Model suggested we order another bottle. Hell, it's only another glass each. Bad mistake! The music at Baraki was great. I really enjoyed the DJ's mix of trance, house, retro and R & B. It's was pretty cool. The place wasnt too packed and we had a cosy table in the corner right next to the bar, the only place to be.

After the second bottle, Ball Breaker received an sms from an anonymous person asking her to meet up with him (well, we were assuming at the time, it was a him). After serveral attempts at guessing who the mystery person was, Ball Breaker just replied his message and blatantly asked him who the hell he was. It turned out to be Starbucks. Hmmm..... this was interesting. Out of nowhere, Starbucks was in communication with Ball Breaker? So off we went to Blvd. And what a great night we all had. The drinks were free flowing. Princess Model picked up two Indian boys and a short baldy. Great combination. At one point in the night I tried to "rescue" Princess Model from the short baldy by asking her to come upstairs with me, in which she replied "nah, you girls go ahead, I'm gonna stay here and drink". WTF? Serves her right for running after us 10 minutes later and screaming "why did u girls leave me with that shorty??" November Cleo came to join us at Blvd on her own. She didnt get there till around 2.30am. Good effort. Princess Model was so wasted and she still drove home! After we left Blvd, I went straight home. The rest of them ended up at Supper Club till 6 in the morning. How do they do it?

Cant believe I was out both Friday and Saturday night. But it was a great weekend spending it with my closest girlfriends. It was great to see Swing Sister back in action with us and we all had such a great laugh (even though some of it was at Swing Sister's expense). But I love all of you nonetheless.

Waiting For The Announcement

Was up early on Saturday nursing a fairly mild hangover. Spent a good part of the morning planning with Ball Breaker on what we were gonna get Plastic and his girlfriend for their house warming. So many of us were going and nobody had gone to buy a present. Thankfully Cutey and I came to the rescue. We ended up giving Plastic and his girlfriend a beautiful shaker set with 6 martini glasses. I dont think it was a bad effort at all.

The house was gorgeous despite only having two bedrooms. Plastic had done a good job with the backyard decking. That's my favourite part of the house. November Cleo, Ball Breaker, Swing Sister and myself were so bad. We got there, ate and spent the rest of the day playing gin rummy out the back, not once entering the house to socialise with the rest of the party. How terribly rude of us. I cant even start on the curry chicken incident.

When we got to the house, Plastic told us there was curry chicken on the stove. Cutey, November Cleo and I ran to the kitchen to help ourselves. When we looked into the pot, there was only 2 pieces of chicken left, with hardly any sauce. November Cleo and I hovered around the pot like vultures for about 10 minutes waiting for the pot to heat up. I'm sure the other guests would've noticed us and must've been wondering who the hell invited us to the party.

We didnt stop eating or gambling the whole time we were there. It was nice of Shorty to cook for us the whole day. She slaved over the bbq, we slaved over the gin rummy cards. We were also waiting in anticipation for the new home owners to make their announcement. Sadly, it never came. After our over analysis of their invitation ".....help us celebrate this milestone....", we were hoping to hear news of their engagement. Guess we were all fooled.

November Cleo and Ball Breaker caused a bit of commotion with their red wine. JV had gone into the house to get a bottle of red for them. After filling their plastic cups, he took the bottle back into the kitchen. From where we were seated, we caught eye of Plastic's girlfriend telling JV off. It seemed rather obvious he had opened the wrong bottle of wine and served it to November Cleo and Ball Breaker. Wonder what vintage it was. Ball Breaker, never the intention to cause trouble but always ever the trouble maker.

Incase some of you are wondering, Princess Model was never invited to this party and we didnt feel it was polite to bring her along. Yet, we were so anti social the whole day, it is unforgiveable. We felt so bad afterwards. Will we ever be invited to another bbq?

Was A Big Friday Night

My Friday night last week started at Element Lounge. On my way there, I ran into Ball Breaker on the street and she was showing me the micro mini dress (I personally think it's a top not a dress) she was wearing. She had only worn black opaques with it and lifted the back of the dress to show me how revealing her ass was. I couldnt believe she left home like that but the funniest part was when she lifted her dress to flash her ass, Kam was walking behind us. We couldnt stop laughing when we realised that Ball Breaker had given Kam a sneak peek so early on in the night. When we got there, November Cleo, BBs, Groupie Lover, Azamat & Boyscout were already there. 007 and Shorty came to join us half way through the night. This was just the beginning of a big piss up. The music at Element Lounge was great, when the DJ was playing. If he wasnt spinning, they actually had a singer singing popular tunes from the current charts. Cant say she was fabulous. I felt like I was sitting in a cheap Malaysian karaoke bar everytime she came on the mic. Saw K there and it was so nice of her to give our table a platter of free finger food and some chips. She really didnt have to. I'm sure November Cleo would 've paid for the food! I swear, all I ever hear her complain about is being hungry. Now I understand why people say she stores the food in her big toe. The bitch wears size 8.5 shoes!!! That's huge man!

Having a deep & meaningful conversation with Boyscout, he told me his last girlfriend left him and became a lesbian. That says alot about him I guess. What the hell did you do to her? I suppose most of the lesbians I know have had boyfriends in the past. How they turned their backs and started batting for the other team, I have no idea. One friend told me that she knew from a very young age that she fancied girls. But had a boyfriend just to "try it out". Needless to say, the boyfriend didnt have enough power to keep her there in the relationship. So, off she went to join the other team. For me, lesbianism is just a phase. It's not something I'm neither comfortable nor uncomfortable with. I couldnt possibly date a woman, but my friends all think I'm a closet lesbian. Well, maybe I am just into short term thrills with another woman because I'm certainly not built to have a relationship with one. I am quite aware of this.

After 3 or 4 bottles of whites (I lost count after my 3rd glass), not forgetting the precious glass November Cleo decided to wash my feet with, Ball Breaker and I went to Lavish. This was our plan all along I guess. For a change, just the 2 of us partying at Lavish. We had asked Swing Sister and SJ to join us at Element but they were at Cookie and didnt want to come all the way down to Queen St. Princess Model was busy on a hot date with WMDM at Miss Saigon. I cant really remember the journey to Lavish from Element, but I do remember I didnt really drink when I got to Lavish. The wines at Element were enough to kill me. 007 was over friendly with Ball Breaker and Shorty, well Shorty turned into an octopus at Lavish. Swing Sister, Mr S and Princess Model all came down to join us at Lavish around 1.30. Ofcourse SJ bailed out and went home. The sight of Asians seems to be a turn off for our newly reformed dumb blonde-wanna-be.

What a big night it was and what a great time we all had. Starting the night off at Element Lounge was great. Ball Breaker and I really enjoyed ourselves, a bit too much I suspect. I managed to sneak out of Lavish at around 2.30am without anyone noticing. The alcohol and exhaustion level had reached it's limit. I was just hanging to go home
. The rest of them partied on to Cutey's apartment till the sun came up. What's new?

Refuse A Drink? Hell No!

The audit went well yesterday. My CEO was thoroughly impressed with my site's performance. The debriefing went well and there were more positives than negatives which is always a good thing. After the long day, I had wanted desperately to crawl in my bed and never wake up. Then Siew Yum called me and told me she'd be at Cookie with November Cleo. I had refused to go for celebratory drinks with my bosses where it would be free, but instead drove my tired ass to Cookie. Yeah, I couldnt refuse a drink. I was tired, hang on that's an understatement. I was exhausted beyond comprehension, but I needed a drink. All the hard work and long hours have paid off. I deserved a drink...... or two. Spoke to Kam and I told him I was only going to have one glass of wine. He was right. I would never stop at one glass!

Caught up with Siew Yum, November Cleo, Groupie Lover, Liv and BBs at Cookie. We were all so excited about our trip. Siew Yum, always the planner, has it down to how many pairs of undies, shorts and jeans each person should bring. November Cleo is apparently bringing like 5 pairs of shoes to Spain. Err..... dont they sell shoes in Spain??

We had all wanted to leave around 7.30. The lesbos wanted to eat and I wanted to go home. Then SJ called and wanted to meet for one drink. I told her I was going home and that she could hang with the lesbos, but she wanted me to wait for her. So I made Siew Yum, Groupie Lover and November Cleo hang with me till SJ got there.

At about 8pm, Cutey called and spoke to Siew Yum:

Siew Yum: (rambling on about something)

Cutey: Let me speak to someone responsible!

Siew Yum hands me the phone. What the?

Cutey: I wanna eat chilli chicken for dinner

Me: Err....ok...SJ and I are not going. You go with Siew Yum and November Cleo

Cutey: I'm gonna book a table for 7

Me: 7?? I'm not going!

Cutey: Ok, I book.

Me: Call me when you're in the city. Come to Cookie for a drink

Before I knew it, Siew Yum and November Cleo had gone to the bar and ordered dinner at Cookie. At that point, I totally forgot Cutey was on her way to the city to meet them for dinner. Then Cutey calls and she wasnt happy that the lesbos had already started eating at Cookie. I think that was my fault (the responsible one), but honestly I think it was Cutey's fault for not confirming with Siew Yum first before making the booking! Bloody Cutey and her chilli chicken.

SJ and I left together and by then I had no energy left. The exhaustion had really started to sink in. I was glad to be out of there. Wonder how long the lesbos stayed on till?

No More Hard Work

I havent had a chance to contribute to my blog for over a week now. Yes, I have been extremely busy at work over the last couple of weeks. As a matter of fact I didnt get home till 3.30 this morning (and it's not from partying!) and was back in the office at 7am. Atleast the big audit is finally over. Well, it's not over just yet, but the hard work preparing for it is over. The auditors are here and I'm just counting down the minutes till they leave. After today, it will be back to long lunches and early knock offs. Woohoo! I didnt realise working was this difficult......

The Black Man is in the building but I dont think he will dare to say boo to me today. I've locked myself up in my office and everone thinks I'm in a foul mood. But, really I'm not. I'm so relieved that the preparation is over. All I want now is some peace and quiet to blog. I actually had time to chat with The Nurse on gmail earlier. She's good and is missing everyone in Melbourne. She told me she's spending her birthday this year in Sweden. Bitch! Just be nice to those hot Swedish boys!!

Man, I'm so tired I could crawl under my desk and go to sleep. No hesitation at all. I had big plans to go out tonight after work, get wasted or atleast have a few drinks. But now, I'm not so sure anymore. How can I refuse a drink?

Speaking of drinking always reminds me of Princess Model. She left for Hawaii last night and was sweet of her to sms me this morning to let me know she's landed safely in the land of fat people and fast food. Hope she doesnt come home a blob (not to be confused with blog). Lucky girl, always jet setting around. Wonder if she will need me as a chaperone next time she travels?

Hua Designs

Went on a road trip with the girls on Saturday to Springvale. Azamat would say "dont you need a passport to get there?". We bravely ventured into the Springvale shopping centre in search of a restaurant for lunch. If you thought Footscray was bad, Springvale is 10 times busier. The cars and people have no concept of road rules. People cross the streets when they feel like it and cars are reversing and double parking all over the place. I felt like I was in KL! We had a nice lunch with both Princess Model and Swing Sister hung over from the night before. Princess Model was ok before we had lunch but decided to have a late hangover reaction right after lunch.

After lunch we made our way to visit The Designer. SJ and I were supposed to pay her a visit to show her the material Piggy had sent us for the bridesmaid's dresses. Piggy sent over a whole heap of fuschia coloured satin material for us to be creative and come up with something that would suit our dresses. But our initial mission soon became a shopping expedition which included Princess Model and Swing Sister. When we got to The Designer's warehouse, everyone went sick! We spent more than 3 hours there just trying things on like it was all going out of fashion. The Designer's label, Hua, is ultra eccentric and unique. Many of the pieces are a big challenge to put on. Uniquely designed in a way that certain pieces can be worn 10 different ways. Kind of like my ultimate black dress. I personally think The Designer's clothes are quite funky. Very runway, catwalk pieces, just not sure if anyone would wear them out on a regular day. Having said that, I left the warehouse with a lovely green jacket and a black dress. Princess Model did the most damage and spent over $1200 on maybe 8 or 9 pieces. Out of control! I'm quite happy with my purchases, now just cant wait to wear them.

Planning Paris

Swing Sister and Mr S came over for dinner last Thursday. It was a night of planning for our accomodation in Paris. Part of the plan was to stay with Mr Ferrari in Paris, but I guess that's not gonna happen now. We spent all night after dinner on the net finally narrowing down the areas in Paris we would consider staying at. It took us bloody 4 hours just to decide which part of Paris we'd like to be in. Geez. Now we have to shortlist some hotels in these areas. Just the accomodation in Europe alone is going to burn a big hole in my wallet. How the hell am I going to shop?? Thanks to Mr S who's been doing his homework on our hotel options. I'm the lazy one. He's emailed me a list of hotels and I still havent had a chance to go through them. Let's just wing it, I say.

Almost everyone will be away at the same time. Ball Breaker and I will be the first to leave. Cutey, TOT, Mr S and Swing Sister will be meeting us in Malaysia. We will then be meeting up with BBs, Siew Yum and November Cleo in Barcelona. It all sounds like too much fun. I bet none of us will want to come back. As for Princess Model, she's not joining us on our trip but she's certainly not missing out either. She'll be off to Hawaii next week for a couple of weeks. Bitch! Bring me back a Hawaiian boy. Thank you :-) SJ will also be meeting us in Malaysia then she's jet setting off to Europe as well. Unfortunately her itinerary does not coincide with any of ours so, we wont get to see her in Europe. I'm sure I'll hear all her bar (or boy) hopping stories when we get back.

The day is fast approaching but not quite soon enough. And with the miserable weather here over the last couple of days, I wish I was on a plane and out of here tonight!

Cant Be F*cked......

Behind me and beyond the walls of this depressing office, everyone is busy working hard in reluctant anticipation of our mid year audit. As for me, I've simply had enough. Today, I just feel like sitting behind my desk and spending the afternoon blogging about my thoughts. It's Friday and the rain is pouring outside. This weather is not doing me any favours. I hate it! Princess Model would be first to put up an argument about this sort of weather. She looves the rain and the cold. She's weird. Remembering the times she's yelled at me for having the heater on in my car when it's 18 degrees outside. Hello!!! 18 degrees is not hot ok?

I've spent the day trying to do some work, "trying" being the operative word. My boss, The Black Man has been here all day and has finally left the building. Someone said to me today that I am being racist by calling him The Black Man. Am I really? I mean no ill feeling when I call him that. He's black, thus the aptly name "The Black Man". Well, maybe I am a tad bit racist, but I have nothing against black men. In all honesty and seriousness, I actually quite like black men. Something sexy about them. Maybe I'm just thinking of Blair Underwood from Sex and The City. Yummm :-P

Dr. Robert Leeds

30 minutes to go and the rain hasnt shown any signs of slowing down. Some of my friends are having after work drinks tonight at Element Lounge. I'd love to go and now hearing that November Cleo and Siew Yum are gonna be there, makes me want to go even more. Sad but true. I'm in a melancholy kind of mood. My mind is neither here nor there. The weather sucks. And I hear Ball Breaker telling me "we need the rain". Yes, yes, we sure do. I just cant wait till this day ends so I can go home and climb underneath my doona and plant my ass on the sofa for the rest of the night. What a great way to spend a Friday night.

Mother's Day

It was Mother's Day last Sunday and I spent the day having yum cha at Dragon Boat on the Yarra with family. The food was just unappetising. Being a special day, the restaurant was packed out and I guess the food was just plainly mass produced with no thought put into the taste of the dumplings. I hate going for yum cha on days like this. Any special occassion, the food at yum cha restaurants are guaranteed to suck. Having a mild hangover from the night before didnt help either. Everything just tasted like cardboard.

After yum cha, I went to Victoria Market to get one of my dogs a bed. Yes, a dog bed. The cold weather is coming up and I dont want her to spend another year sleeping on concrete so being the caring person that I am, I decided to buy her a bed. Whilst at the market, I went to pay Socks a visit and found out that he's booked in the venue for his wedding. It's going to be on 30th December this year. He also told me that since planning for this wedding, he's had countless number of arguments with his fiancee. They just cant seem to agree on anything for the wedding. Not only are they having a reception here, they are also having a huge one in Taiwan. What a pain this must be. I think I'll be quite happy eloping in Vegas or something like that. Ideally, I'd like to be married on a secluded island somewhere with just my close family and friends present. None of this 400 people wedding reception rubbish. What a waste of money and effort.

Ball Breaker, Princess Model and Beng were supposed to spend Mother's Day together on a picnic late morning. But as Princess Model and Beng have set precedents in the past, both did not wake up in time. Ball Breaker was the only one who invested time and effort into preparing for this picnic that didnt happen. Poor thing. I did tell her to come for yum cha with me.

Got home after the market and spoke to my mom. She thought I had forgotten about her until she received the big bouquet of flowers I had sent. The wonders of the Internet and Interflora. Just as I have always envisioned Mother's Day to be a day to celebrate with my mom, and only my mom, this year, I realised that a few of my friends are mothers too. F*ck, I must be getting old. Thankfully, I remembered in time to wish my sister, Odie and SJ a happy mother's day.

Drunken Mahjong Night

Princess Model, Beng and myself had planned this mahjong session from last Friday. But I knew it was too good to be true. Princess Model didnt get out of bed till late Saturday afternoon and Beng was uncontactable the whole day and night. He was totally out of it, not even hearing his 101 missed phone calls from Princess Model. In the end Beng decided to waltz his way out of bed and call us to ask if we were still keen to play. We were supposed to start playing at 3 in the afternoon so we could finish early enough for those who wanted to go home to bed and for those who wanted to party on. But no, these party animals didnt get out of bed in time. Eventually, we met up at Princess Model's at 7pm to kick off the showdown of Malaysian style mahjong.

Geez, I havent played mahjong in years. And it was still just as much fun! The three of us were making up the rules as we went along. At the same time, we were downing glasses of white wine and getting ourselves wasted. Princess Model had an array of drinks on her little private side table. She had a cup of tea, a bottle of coke and a glass of white, all ready to be consumed at the same time. What the?

Beng ended up winning all our money. Well, I lost $2.50..... I still lost, damn it! But it was such good fun. Princess Model was very reluctant to leave the mahjong table and she probably could've played on all night. Siew Yum and BBs were sms-ing me throughout the night asking me to go down to Blvd. In my happy state, I was keen to go down for a boogie. For the first time in awhile, Princess Model was adamant on staying home. Well, for all those times she made us go to Blvd and Lavish with her, this is pay back! Beng was keen to go too, so it wasnt just me. By the time we got there, it was already past 2am. Caught up with BBs, Siew Yum and November Cleo. I vaguely remember one of the twins with us at Blvd. Was I dreaming?

Middle Eastern Night

Due to the fact that our dear friend Princess Model claims to have never tasted Lebanese (we're talking about food here, incase anyone was wondering) before, Ball Breaker took the liberty of organising a wonderfully themed Middle Eastern night out for some Leb food. We all met up at Cafe Zum Zum on Rathdowne St in Carlton. I never knew this restaurant existed. We had a $35 set menu and the food was terrific. I really enjoyed every dish they brought our apart from the dessert. That was the worst part. I'm just not into the super sweet turkish delight and pastries. Ball Breaker was busy asking everyone what kind of spice they used on the chicken dish. Nobody had any idea. Why did she want to know anyway? Was she going to prepare us a Middle Eastern dish? The night was well themed but I dont think we specifically had any Lebanese food. Oh well, Middle Eastern food is all the same anyway. But Princess Model is still kicking to go to an authentic Lebanese restaurant. Another night out I guess!

During dinner, Mr S sms-ed TQ to see where he was. We knew he was with KC and VB but we had no idea where they were. TQ replied to tell us they were at The Order and told us to join them. However, when Mr S sms-ed VB, he got no reply. Did he not want us to invade his territory? We decided to got to Polly on Brunswick St. instead. The place made delicious cocktails but not much eye candy around. Our group were by far the best looking in the entire place! No kidding. Princess Model ordered an aptly named cocktail called The Princess and I had a cocktail called The Mistress. Should've had The Devil instead. Ball Breaker was pretty much stuck with Blondie all night. We found out she was only 22 and Ball Breaker seemed to be having such a great time in conversation with her, that Princess Model, Swing Sister and myself thought it was best to leave them alone. Later on in the night, Ball Breaker managed to escape from Blondie for a few minutes and came to tell me how upset she was that we all left her alone. She had infact wanted us to rescue her! Too funny. Ok, next time we will know better. And come to think of it, Princess Model even asked me "since when those two became best friends?".

HYC and Emo turned up to Polly with some friends as well. What a surprise. Swing Sister was happy to see Emo. She thinks he's cool, I think he's a freak, Princess Model thinks he's oily and I know someone else who thinks he's unwashed! You know, for a semi decent looking guy, it's a shame he has to hide his face behind his curly locks. I guess it's all in the emo fashion statement. Beng gave me a rundown on the difference between goth and emo. I still dont quite get it, but I was told emos like to dress like goths with no emotions on their face. WTF? So is Swing Sister aspiring to be a goth or an emo? I'm confused.

I left after The Mistress and the rest went over to Bimbo across the road. Princess Model told me the music was great (house....hmmm) and no cover charge to get in. Oh, and the highlight of her night was getting picked up by a Lebanese guy. How ironic. The whole night was supposed to be themed towards all things Lebanese. Instead, Princess Model dresses up like a Turkish Delight and we end up in a restaurant which serves a general all round Middle Eastern food. No Lebanese satisfaction until Princess Model finally got picked up by one. Nice.

p.s. Sorry PM, I stole your photos!

Miss Saigon

After working late every night this week, it was a relief to finish up at 5.30 last night and head to dinner with my team. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner at Becco in the city at the company's expense. The food was superb however the service wasnt anything to shout about. The restaurant was a good dining experience, white linen table cloths with professional looking waiters. Having said that, it is a tiny restaurant though. Cosy and warm; and it wasnt too packed last night for a Thursday night. What I'd really like to try is the restaurant next door called Gingerboy. It was packed last night!

Not only did me and my team have a wonderful dinner (and too many martinis for me), we also went on to catch Miss Saigon at Her Majesty'sTheatre. At the last minute, a work colleague rang me to say she wasnt able to make it to the show so I was stuck with a spare ticket. What a waste! So I invited Ball Breaker along. No point wasting the ticket. Thank God Ball Breaker was keen to come out all the way into the city on such short notice.

The story of a young Vietnamese hooker who falls in love with an American soldier. The show gave me 2 hours of imagination and belief that these kind of romance love stories only happen in the movies, and on stage. The ending was sad and I'm pretty sure if Princess Model was there, she would be crying. We had some loser sitting infront of us singing along to every tune in the musical and with his composer hand movements, I really felt like knocking him across the back of his head. Who let these people out of the house?

The musical had some rather sharp and witty lines which Ball Breaker and I found amusing. When we heard these lines, they reminded us of certain people we know.....

"Why did I have to come from a country full of rice?" - remind you of anyone??

"Like a movie in my mind"

"You swear like a man, but screw like a boy" - this is my all time favourite line.....might have to use this some day ;-)

After the show, Ball Breaker, BK and myself went to Mai Tai for a quick drink where Princess Model and Swing Sister came to join us. It was ladies night at Mai Tai with happy hour half price drinks till midnight! Looks like this is the place to be on a Thursday night.

I Had A Dream .......

Thanks to Ball Breaker, Swing Sister and Princess Model, I had a dream last night about Bob and FF. Because we were talking about them last night, they both ended up in my dreams. What a nightmare. I dreamt that I bumped into Bob at Piggy's wedding and he totally snubbed me off. I did make an effort to say hello to him but he brushed me off like an annoying mosquito. I then attempted to say hello to FF but sort of got the same response from her. But that wasnt the highlight of my dream. I quite distinctly remember Bob wearing a pink shirt and FF dressed in a blue Grecian style dress (what the??) and she was pregnant!!! This was the shock of the dream! Tiny FF with a belly. Firstly I dont see it as a sign of anything that they happened to appear in my dream. When my friendship with Trash fell apart, she appeared in my dreams all the time. However, this dream could be significant in the sense that maybe FF is pregnant?? Well, if she is, congratulations man! Atleast we know they've been keeping themselves busy in the bedroom. What does pregnancy in a dream mean? Somebody tell me.....

I was somewhat disappointed in my dream that my support team aka Ball Breaker, Princess Model and Swing Sister were nowhere in sight. Where the hell were you guys????

A Quicky At Cookie

After my badminton finals on Sunday, the one that nobody showed up to (bloody TOT and BBs), I rang BBs to meet up with her for a coffee. And yes, I just wanted to have coffee. BBs, of all people was supposed to come with me to show some support in my challenging finals but she decided to dump me for a cock! She told me she had to hang with a male friend who was only down in Melbourne for one day. Hmmmph......! She was at Cookie Bar with Liv, November Cleo, Little Lesbo and the girlfriend Shoe Lover. So off I went to meet them thinking I was gonna be faced with an akward situation with the Little Lesbo there. But when I got there, everyone was already smashed. Nice. There were two bottles of Sauvignon Blanc on the table and God knows how many they've had before I got there. Shoe Lover was her friendly self and I totally ignored the Little Lesbo. November Cleo wouldnt let me order a cup of tea, instead poured me a full glass of wine. And you know me, not one to ever say no to alcohol. After a couple of sips, Little Lesbo tried to talk to me and I was responsive, not wanting to be rude. Then out of the blue she apologised to me for her previous behaviour. That was very nice of her. Not that I really had anything against her. I was more worried of the misunderstanding she had created between me and Shoe Lover. I didnt really care what the Little Lesbo thought. The girlfriend however is such a nice girl and she's a good friend of November Cleo's and I didnt want there to be any misunderstandings. Well, it's all good now. When we left Cookie, I said goodbye to everyone with a kiss on the cheek and when I went up to Little Lesbo to say goodbye, she was too afraid to kiss me. Keeping her distance is a good thing I guess. November Cleo kept asking me if "it's all good?" Babes, ofcourse it's all good. The whole situation never really bothered me in the first place!

November Cleo told me about a guy she met in Hong Kong and that she was meeting him for a dinner date that night. I still havent heard from her, wonder how it went? She also told me she left Lavish on Friday night and didnt get home till 6pm the next day. Where did she go??

After the quick drinks at Cookie, I headed home to shower, change and head back into the city to meet Mr S and Swing Sister for dinner at EC Pot. Then hung out at their place and watched The Grudge 2 on DVD. Scary shit but frustrating story line. Swing Sister spent the whole night under the covers. I have no idea how she even watched the movie. In one scary scene, she grabbed my hand and wouldnt let go. The highlight of the movie was Edison Chan. I didnt even know he was in the movie. Mr S and I spent the whole night trying to figure out who he looked like in Melbourne cos his face was so familiar in the movie. Then we worked it out! He looked like The Hairdresser!!! Oh My God! Now whenever I see The Hairdresser at Lavish, I'm gonna think of Edison!

Shopping Success

I was woken up by Ball Breaker's sms quite early on Saturday morning. Well, actually I couldnt really sleep in. Its the bloody alcohol from the night before. Didnt drink enough to knock me out. Hmmm...... I was wondering why she could be up so early after partying the night before. As it is, I didnt stay at Lavish for too long but I was told the rest of my friends were there till the place closed. Not unusual, just unusual for me to leave early, that's all.

Since I was up early, I decided to make myself a nice breakfast of bacon & eggs. Yummmm....Then SJ called to make sure I was up for our mission shopping to find the white dress. So, off we went to The Dressing Room on Sydney Rd. The best store for dresses at affordable prices. SJ and I were in luck and we both ended up getting our dresses there. Yay! The hunt is over. I even bought a pair of shoes to go with the dress. How good is that?

Went down to the city to check out LV cos SJ was feeling itchy and wanted to buy something luxurious to spoil herself. Saw the handbag that I want - LV Riveting in white leather. Can you believe it's $4700?? Too painful. The bag costs more than a lot of cars on the road. Sigh..... I'm allowed to dream arent I? Princess Model wants this bag too but in the monogram print. I didnt get to see it when I went into LV. I'll get to see it when Princess Model buys it I guess. The other bag I want is the LV Speedy in the linen. At $950, I can say this is a bargain compared to my other bags. The mission is to find it overseas at a cheaper price. SJ showed me the bag she wanted in red/ hot pink - LV Lexington. Too, too bright. Something Ball Breaker would carry I think. So not SJ. Well, we ended our dream at LV and headed to Chanel. SJ just wanted to depress me even more. Bloody hell. When we walked in, to my surprise, 4Eyes was working there. I met him back in my Salt days. He was one of the bar tenders at Salt and I recently found out, he was also FF's ex-boyfriend! Wonder why I never saw FF at Salt back in those days? Anyway, SJ found a bag she fell in love with and at $1458, some of you would agree that's a bargain for a Chanel handbag. But I had to restrain her from handing over the credit card and signing her life away. FFS, she's going overseas in a month and to Europe too. Surely Chanel has got to be cheaper in France, right?

After our day dream shopping through LV and Chanel, we met up with Swing Sister for a quick coffee at Cookie Bar. And no, I didnt have any alcohol, although SJ did. She was trying to drown her sorrows and get over the Chanel bag she so wanted. After coffee we went into Zimmerman at QV. SJ bought a bikini for only $65! Wow...what a bargain. Not wanting to miss out on a bargain, I bought a grecian style dress from Zimmerman too. Cant wait to wear it! Who's having a party next?

Lavish Me Baby

After the brilliant performance of Cirque Du Soleil, Princess Model, Ball Breaker, Swing Sister and myself headed into the city to grab a bite. We ended up at A1 Cafe on Russel St. What a blast from the past. Ball Breaker and I havent stepped foot into this place for atleast 5 years; and it used to be one of our favourite restaurants. Princess Model and I shared some chiffon egg dish and it was scrumptious, just as I remembered it to be! Ball Breaker and I have decided to make a date one of these nights to go back there for dinner. Swing Sister didnt really like the place. Maybe cos it's a bit dingy and dirty. Oh well, the food's cheap though.

After filling our tummies (if we didnt, Princess Model would've killed us), we met up with Mr S and Scarface at The Carlton Hotel. A place once frequented by abbos (not wanting to be racist ok), after the refurbishment, it's become quite a trendy looking bar. The place is decked out with life size stuffed animals which is kinda freaky but trendy at the same time. The crowd was mediocre and the bar is a non-smoking venue. Yucks! The whole time I was there, I didnt even have one cigarette. I couldnt be f**ked walking to the smoking courtyard. It was too crowded anyway.

VB was sms-ing Mr S all night asking him to go to Lavish. After the show and the poorly made Vodka Lemon Lime I ordered at The Carlton Hotel, I was pretty keen to head home straight to bed. Instead, Princess Model was begging Ball Breaker and I to go. What the? She's truly a regular now. In the end, we succumbed to peer pressure and made out way reluctantly to Lavish. BBs had sms-ed me earlier on in the night wanting to know if we were going and I told her we weren't. Damn! I stuck to my plan of staying for an hour and couldnt wait to get out of there.

I later found out VB had been sms-ing Mr S to see if he could get in with us to save him the hassle of having to line up in the queue. Aaahhh, I see. That was the plan all along. And just so people know, Swing Sister, Princess Model and myself had to line up for more than 15 minutes before we got in. And let me tell you, I was not happy! I kept wanting to leave whilst in the line but Princess Model held me back. Nobody saw much of VB when we got in to Lavish. TQ and KC hung out with us for quite a bit but VB was nowhere to be seen. This is his problem. Who am I to criticise him really. I love VB dearly but he's been stepping on a few toes recently and people are not happy. He calls and sms-es when it's convenient for him but when we all meet up at a place together, he doesnt bother to speak to any of us. What is wrong with him?

When we got to Lavish, Goofy was highly, highly intoxicated. I've known this for awhile but Ball Breaker learnt on the night that Goofy and alcohol is a lethal combination. The executive decision is one of two choices; when Goofy hangs out with us, there will be no alcohol for him or he needs to be handcuffed. For some reason instead of turning into a fish (which is the case when people drink), he turns into an octopus. Even November Cleo noticed this and wasnt impressed. Goofy is a nice fella pre-alcohol, great to hang with. But post-alcohol is a different story all together.

Some got lucky on the night, some not so lucky. You know who you are. I'm over Lavish, for the week. Until next weekend.... ;-)
